点评:I loved this park...for so many reasons... there was so much to look at. So many things to stop and read about, to see, to explore , to enjoy... but it's not going to have the traditional items that people concede are necessary for it to be a good park. This one will take you for a walk through time to enjoy the simple things in life... from K181 the steam locomotive, to Minnie the tractor, the model 10-20 red tractor, the fowler compound traction engine, a Robinson thresher, a hay mower, a wheat grader, a dethridge water wheel, a combine, a turnip slicer and much more...
There are information signs to tell you about the word "Numurkah" which incidentally means 'Warshield' in Kwatt Kwatta. It tells you about the first people and why they found this area near Broken Creek so important to them.
There is a memorial for Hilda Morieson, a community minded lady from Numurkah who always saw the good in everyone.. also the recipient of the Order of Australia.
But walk across the expanse of grass to Broken Creeks edge and there is an information board explaining the bats that you can see hanging in the tree on the opposite side ... and you can certainly hear them!
If you enjoy history... this park is the place for you. If you aren't interested in history... maybe you should be...so stop and have a look around and enjoy the work that the Rotary have done to make this somewhere special.
