点评:This war memorial was originally erected by the residents of the shire of Alexandra in memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice in the Great War. It was added to later to remember the men and women of the shire who served Australia in the Second World War facing perils and hardships, wounds sickness, captivity and death. The WW2 memorial was added as a heritage for us to guard and cherish.
At a later date another memorial was added to the site for all who served their country with honour and distinction in the Malaya, Korea, Borneo and Vietnam campaigns...which was added to again to include Peace Keeping and B.C.O.F (Japan).
Originally the First World War memorial was in Grant Street, but in 1954 it was moved to this location to join the memorials. It's now located in Leckie Park.
If you are in the area, it's worth stopping to read the memorials... I was here shortly after Anzac Day which explains why there were so many wreaths.

再次添加到包括维和行动和 B.C.O.F(日本)。
