点评：Staff or owner very rude when serving/taking orders, after paying for two coffees and a slice of cake (£10.50) I asked if he wouldn’t mind giving me a cup of hot water for me to make a bottle for my 6 month old baby.
He rolled his eyes and as he was pouring it and said “I really should be charging you £1 for this” so I replied “that’s fine I don’t mind paying, she needs a bottle”.
He said “on this occasion I’ll do it” so I kept repeating to him, “please it’s fine charge me”,he gave me what I could only describe as a sips worth of hot water.
I said “its for a bottle? I need 210ml to be exact” He huffed again and said “he was reluctant as people who have visited before bring their own teabags and he was very skeptical to give me anymore”! At this point I was getting quite frustrated and offered to go and get the baby bottle to prove to him we wasn’t trying to do anything underhand.
He said “on this occasion I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt”.
I am disgusted, as a new mum who visits the cafe often and family members do too sometimes twice a week. I will most definitely not be returning.
The pub across the road is far nicer, quicker, & most importantly friendly.
