点评：Called into the Tudor House today for lunch with the family as we were holidaying in the area.
Unfortunately we seem to have made rather a grave error in our choice of restaurant. On arrival, we were shown to our table and then proceeded to wait for around 10 minutes before a member of staff asked if we had been given a menu. The menus were then presented to us by the most miserable looking man that I've ever had the misfortune to come across. He shuffled back to take our orders without once raising a smile or making any effort to engage with us at all and had the air of a ghoul haunting the place.
We ordered hot lunch meals and drinks then settled in for another 15 minute wait before our food arrived. The drink order was conspicuous in its absence so we had to ask the waitress serving the meal to chase these up with the bar after we'd almost died of thirst. The drinks finally arrived during our meal without even any apology for their lateness from the waiter.
I could just about excuse the terrible service from the waiter, maybe he was having an off day? Unfortunately the meals that we were served up resembled something from an institution, the pie was a cold slab of chicken and ham suspended in a congealed sauce, sadly accompanied by some cold frozen veg and chips. Not even a drop of gravy to be seen.
The burger that my son ordered was no better, it looked like something that would be served up from a roadside fast food van and the bun smelled so bad that he could eat no more than a couple of bites.
I'm sorry to say that this is probably one of the worst meals we've ever paid for, the bill for 6 of us came to almost £90 so the terrible experience couldn't even be justified by it being cheap!
If you're looking for a decent quality meal in the area, I'd recommend giving the Tudor House a wide berth!
