The Berwyn Arms的点评
点评：Llangollen was packed, nowhere to park (weekend and public holiday), so headed towards the Rhug Estate and Bala.
Have passed The Berwyn Arms many times, but never quite at a time to want to stop (usually in a rush).
However, today was a more leisurely drive and so parked up and popped in.
The initial welcome was as soon as we arrived and the level of attention and service continued in that vein for the whole visit.
Two of the servers were young but obviously well trained and naturally well versed in delivering excellent customer service.
Order taken promptly, drinks delivered and the perfect pour for gin and tonic (ie didn't put the whole bottle in, how it should always be).
Arancini to start, amazing, well presented and delicious.
Mains of a lovely beef and chorizo chilli plus fresh cod and chips. A couple of steps up from pub grub for sure.
A glance at other tables showed that the less traditional meals (lamb shank and salmon) both looked fabulous - presentation excellent and empty plates a clue too.
I can absolutely recommend a visit, we will most definitely be going back and not just passing by.
The views over the Dee are incredible, so a summer visit too, will be on the cards to use their outdoor deck.
