As our favourite Chinese take away was shut, we decided to have a curry. Well that was a mistake. It was quite possibly the worse excuse for a curry, or food for that mater, I have ever had.
I suspect there was an effort to find any way that they could to put more food colouring in everything. It was almost neon. The garlic nan was a peculiar shade of green? I can only assume it’s for visibility late at night after a few pints.
The chicken pieces had very sharp corners. Which I doubt were from being cut from fresh chicken. The sauce, I suspect came from a gallon bucket. With added food colouring.
Even the poppadom was slightly soft and lacked a bit of crisp.
At least we didn’t cook it and it wasn’t too expensive. Which is the only positive thing I can say.
I think I’d have been disappointed even if I’d had 12 beers before hand. A supermarket microwave curry would have been cheaper and far tastier.
