We were very impressed that the manager (or perhaps a senior server) made time to say "hello" and had short personal chat. His friendly attitude was very welcoming. Eating there again is in the cards, but to guarantee this, management might help with some easily remedied issues.
The 3 rating is due to a few times when the restaurant missed the mark and they do not relate to staff shortages: 1) the menu is only overhead on a monitor - people with eye problems have difficulty reading this. There was no other option and the server had ZERO patience as we had to read it out loud to the disabled person. A few printed menus to have on hand (or taped to the counter) does not go amiss even in this Covid era. 2) the server could not explain what bubble tea was to a new initiate. Sad, I gave up trying to figure out how to order it. Knowing which one a novice should begin with might be helpful. 3) At 3pm, 50% of the tables had former patrons' food remnants on them. The cleaning was sporadic at best. No one wants to eat in a restaurant with litter.
