点评:I had a very nice meal here. The staff were knowledgeable about the food/wine and made me feel very welcome. I walked in without a reservation, and after a few minutes of organizing, I was able to be seated. Being graciously accommodated, I could tell the evening was going to go well. I enjoyed the casual seating area for a drink and several small appetizers before being taken to my table. This is fixed-course only restaurant with a vegetarian, Chef's menu and a high end option. I chose the Chef's Menu with the standard wine pairing.
My meal started with a bluefin tuna crudo beneath a (slightly too salty) soy sauce sabayon. The next course of seabass and a clam sauce with layered potatoes was very nice. The seabass texture/flavor was perfect- the sauce and the fish were nicely matched. I added an extra course of seared scallops with a lobster bisque sauce that was wonderfully balanced and full of the flavors of the sea. The absolute highlight was the brightly seasoned, locally raised, lamb covered with pasta and dots of calabrian chili sauce and creme fraiche. It was a whimsical dish that was surprising and crazy delicious. This was followed by a very nice chicken dish with truffles, but it just couldn't compete with the lamb. The desserts were fine.
What I liked most about this place, is that they clearly feel dining is a celebration -- make sure dine in the company of people enjoy!
