点评:When writing this review, I just re-read my review from 2019 and I could pretty much copy-paste that one.
Now all bread service, which used to be great, has been eliminated. I've noticed a move to more and more fried elements on the menu. You used to really have to make a reservation in advance if you wanted to go on Friday or Saturday as it was very busy both at the bar and in dining room. Now when we came in around 7.15 there was 1 person at the bar, the hostess was already sent home and there were several empty tables.
We shared calamari and brussels sprouts as appetizers. Calamari was served with a lot of sauce. We had to ask for a half lemon to get some freshness to the dish. Looked and tasted like deep-frozen calamari you find at supermarket just fried up. Brussels sprouts lacked flavor overall.
I had fried chicken which was served with gravy, green beans and mac and cheese. Mac and cheese looked like pre-cooked paste which was put in a skillet, some shredded cheese on top and put under the broiler. I don't think that is how mac and cheese is supposed to be. Chicken was well-fried and tender. Gravy lacked flavor. My wife liked her scallops on top of fried grit cakes although the sauce did not have a lot of flavor.
We'll give it a try again in a few years, if they make it.
