点评:Visited this restaurant for dinner post golf with another frequent dining couple. French theme and ambiance was wonderful. We were early diners (6pm) and service was good but “stressed”. Cheeseboard start was delicious but server never told us what cheeses we were enjoying even after we asked. “I’ll ask the chef”. Soup of the day listed on the menu was - none. We were split on the French onion soup, one of us liking it very much while the other friend felt it was overwhelmed with bread and cheese. My second glass of the same French Chardonnay was bad and had to be replaced. One of two Traditinal Caesar salads ordered had delightful white anchovy filets, while my dining colleague who did not desire the minnow-sized fish, got a Caesar salad with tomatoes cubed into it. Very non-traditional. The dichotomy was confusing. The “Thyme and Sea Salt Hand Cut Pomme Frites” were not seasoned other than salt and were reminiscent of McDondald’s fries. The beef filet was rated as excellent and perfectly done. The Sole was fabulous, perfectly seasoned and visually alluring. The mussels were inedible, so heavily laden with salt that the “delicate white wine broth” resembled a ham curing bath. The menu asks that you let your server know 15 minutes ahead of time if you want French Pudding. We ordered two. The server came back to tell us that “no one had made the pudding that day”. We took the money they refunded on our bill for the mussels and stopped for ice cream on the way home.
