点评：Played in July. Course was in great condition from tee to green. Greens were somewhat inconsistent in speed and lightly sanded in spots but still great. We played 2 afternoon rounds on consecutive days. We arrived 45 minutes early on the first day to hit the range and practice green, however, the bag drop attendant and the grumpy old starter (from Hagerstown) worked together to rush us onto the course 45 minutes early so the front 9 was basically our warm-up. The second day was better, different starter, and we hit the range first.
This course is wide open from most tees and if you miss the center of the fairways, you still have a good opportunity to hit the greens on your 2nd or 3rd shot. The fairway bunkers and water are mostly on the right and left sides and play into some of the holes, especially the par 3's, but again, the fairways are so wide, they can usually be avoided. On a few of the non-par 3 holes, you do need to avoid them from the tee. Bunkers were in great shape as were the tee boxes. Scenery was very nice. Considering all of the water, there was not a single gator anywhere, which was nice. Pace of play was 4.5 hours on day 1 and 3.5 hours on day 2. Not sure if the hot July afternoon temps had anything to do with the course being relatively empty. We ordered lunch from the cart at the 8th hole both days. Food was good and reasonably priced at $10-$12 including fries and was ready at the turn. Course was pricey - about $95 per person.
We were going to play one of the Barefoot courses, since we were staying there, but a friend recommended this one. Glad he did. We wanted a relaxing/forgiving round and great course conditions and found it here.
