Tap at Humboldt Beer Depot的点评
点评：A friend and I stopped in for lunch on the road home from North Carolina.
It’s an interesting open/warehouse space. As it was post lunch on Saturday, folks were just beginning to come in and we grabbed two of the plentiful seats at the bar.
It took at least 5 minutes to be acknowledged and have our initial drink order taken and receive menus. Although it is a beer bar (obviously) and has 50 on taps, they seemed to have a decent stock of liquor. Unfortunately it seemed that some of it was almost for display, and the rather basic ingredients for the Manhattan I ordered were not in stock or available. Almost worse, the bartender did not know how to make one and suggested substituting grenadine for the missing sweet vermouth (I guess they’re both red, so…).
Once we were able to order our food, it was almost 45 minutes before it came. Total lunch time – a little over an hour-and-a-half.
The food we ordered – Shroomin’ IN Switzerland Burger ($16) and a 14” Cheese Pizza ($12) were good, but given the misses it’s not a place I’d return to.
