点评:My wife and I frequent this restaurant occasionally, and for special events. The last visit was a year ago for our anniversary. I cannot believe the differences. First, there was a large group seated at one extremely long table (about 20 people seated and another part of the same group at another table of 7) with everyone talking over everyone else. My wife and I were shown to a table at the end of a blind hallway where the noise just reverberated and where nobody knew we were sitting there. We asked to move out onto the enclosed porch area, but the noise was still overpowering. In the past large groups have been seated in an upstairs private chamber. Second, the two servers working the room were giving most of their attention to the large group, so attention to our needs was lacking. In fact our waitress forgot to put in half of my wife’s order. Third, the prices are ridiculously expensive and selection was limited. They were out of my wife’s first two choices; flounder and veal. She settled for chicken Romano for $25; two very thin and small pieces of chicken swimming in oil and a lettuce salad. I ordered the summer special of bbq ribs; a half rack of ribs, reheated in an oven, dried out, and improperly prepared, served with with Kraft sauce for $26. The ribs were over cooked and dried out by reheating them. The price for this half rack is more than two other local fine dining restaurants (who make their ribs low and slow) charge for a full rack with sides. It did come with a salad; ordered the Caesar salad, but anchovies were extra. Really? That’s what a Caesar salad is. All in all, this visit was a disaster and it will be a long time before we consider going there again. This was on a Wednesday at about 5:30.
