点评:My grandson and I entered the restaurant and stood there waiting. No hostess or "wait to be seated" sign so after several minutes, we started to walk to a table. On the way, I saw a waitress and asked her if we could sit anywhere. She said someone should seat us. We went back to the hostess area and waited several more minutes and finally a young man came by and as he passed us, he said he would be back to seat us. It turns out, he was a waiter. He sat us at a table and took our drink order. I asked for a root beer. He suggested some soft drink I never heard of before. My grandson and I both said we would try his suggestion. It tasted much like Dr. Pepper. Some few minutes later, he asked how the drinks were. My grandson said okay, and I said I didn't care for it. He said okay, I'll get you a root beer. (Isn't that what I asked for to begin with???). When he suggested the other soft drink, I thought they didn't have root beer.
We placed our food order. He served our food. He never came back to see if everything was satisfactory. Fortunately, my grandson's chicken parm was okay. I ordered the cheese steak sub. I had to flag down a waitress and ask her for some extra napkins. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED! It was basically a sub roll with a LOT of cheese sauce, ONE "Steak-um" a couple pieces of pepper and mushroom. I was tempted to stand up and say, "Where's the beef?" They have the nerve to charge $12 for that so called cheese steak sub! The only thing there was more than enough of was the cheese sauce. It was everywhere, hence, why I needed several more napkins. Suggestion: cut back on the sauce and ADD 2 more Steak-um's and a couple more pieces of pepper and mushrooms. The waiter never returned to check on us. My grandson wanted to ask for another soda, but he never got the chance. I still had some root beer so I gave it to him. At the end of our meal, I asked for 2 cheese cake desserts to-go. At this point, he presented the bill. He said he would be right out with the desserts. We were ready to leave and were just waiting for our to-go desserts. We waited, and waited, and waited. He passed by us several times and said he would be getting the cheesecake right away. Finally he passed us again with the same remark and this time I said "I CERTAINLY HOPE SO!!!" Shortly after that he delivered our desserts. I thought there would be some strawberry sauce on the cake, but it was just plain. I had given him a little more than 10% but less than a 15% tip because of the poor service. If I had known how long it would take him to deliver our desserts, I would have only given him $2. I used to be a waitress and usually tip very well, but that is all he deserved.
In the past, I used to fairly often frequent Ruby Tuesday's but had not been there recently. I had heard it wasn't as good an eatery as it used to be. With this experience, I have to somewhat agree. Needless to say, I will not be going back there anytime soon!
