点评:We ate an early dinner here, wasn't busy, tons of staff - and lousy service. We waited at the table for easily 10 minutes before a waiter finally greeted us - after two tables seated after us had already been greeted. Salads came - delicious. If you're going to order a meal, get a half salad it will be more than enough. Salads finished, 7 different servers walked by our table to chat with a particular table. They walked back. Left us with our dirty plates. Dinner came - equally delicious. Same situation. Sat with dirty plates for easily 15 mintues - no sign of our waitperson, but again multiple servers coming by to chat with a customer and ignoring our situation. By the time our wait person finally came back, the credit card was already on the table. When the credit card is on the table, that's pretty universal for "we're done here." But they asked if wanted dessert. I just motioned to the credit card.
The bill came and they pass their credit card surcharge on to you. This has been a new trend in PA this year. I don't know if there's been a change to PA House Bill 750 that prohibits restaurants from doing this, but I don't care. When you, as a business, entice people to your restaurant with the ease of paying via credit card - that cost is yours to bear. It's the price you pay for using the convenience of credit cards to attract clients and it's a classic cost of doing business. You can also write it off your taxes as a business expense. To pass that fee along is just a grab to jack up your bill 3%. It's especially ignorant given how much the dollar has deflated and how much everyone's 401(K)s have diminished. Those two thing are beyond a restaurant's control, but you know what - they can still deduct that charge as a business expense.
So between the surcharge and the bad service, we won't be back. I'll pay for good food and good service - but I won't pay your CC surcharge or for bad service.
