点评:I've been a patron of Brickerville House for most of my life, experiencing its various ownerships over the years. Although I've moved south and don't visit Pennsylvania often, I decided to stop by for breakfast while on vacation this week. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing.
Upon arrival, we were seated in the far back room, which was empty. Despite numerous seating options, they placed us right next to a woman with an infant. This odd choice was perplexing but tolerable.
We ordered breakfast, and the server asked if we wanted onions on our potatoes, to which we agreed. When the check arrived, we were shocked to find that a tiny glass of orange juice was over $7 and our omelets were more expensive than listed on the menu. When we inquired, we were told the extra charge was for the onions—$1.50 extra. There was no mention of this surcharge anywhere, and the onions were merely a handful of raw slices on top, not mixed in.
It's disheartening to see my once-favorite place become a cash grab, with quality suffering to the extent that a handful of raw onion is considered adequate. I won't be returning and will share this experience with others.
