点评:Didn’t have a great experience as a group. We booked to have their unlimited meal menu. We were outrightly denied that as (rule 1) it isn’t offered to group bookings. Ok, we were given a choice between a la carte or set menu. We went ahead with the set menu. No written set menu anywhere but the manager’s mouth. The menu consisted of two veg and two non-veg starters, two veg and one non-veg main with rice and noodles all for £25. Sounded great! The problem (rule 2) was though our group had 4 vegetarians and we were informed no replacements for the non-veg items given for the vegetarians and will be charged the same £25. That seemed quite unfair but the manager was stuck to it. The fun (rule 3, 4, 5, …….) began once we started to choose the menu to let us know a lot of items that can’t be done. Food started to arrive quite quickly and it tasted good. There were a lot of leftovers which when we asked to pack was told that’s not possible (another rule). One of the staffs told us it would be a food for the staff.
We left wondering
- if we wouldn’t have arrived as a group and ordered the set menu, would the staff go hungry 🤔
- the manchurians were harder than normal felt like fried more than twice! Were there more group bookings in the day or day before and staff couldn’t finish that all? The moment this thought appeared, we couldn’t relish the food anymore
- even if the left over food was binned, that didn’t sound right too
Sadly, not a place I would recommend. They didn’t try their best to give us a good experience instead tried their best to indicate we were meant to accept what they give us. It was too late for us to find another place. So we carried on.
We went there a few years ago before the refurbishment and had a very good experience. We didn’t have the same this time. The mains weren’t as good either. The overall experience wasn’t nice!
