点评：Booked for the taster menu in the 1657 restaurant . Price seemed very reasonable for a taster menu. Evening was superb from start to finish. Service outstanding from the lady who came to find us in the bar area when our table was ready to the lady and gentleman who served us fully explaining every course as it arrived who seemed genuinely interested in the food. Setting was beautiful and looked like it had just been recently tastfully refurbished. Everything was perfect, everything was eaten,even the gooseberry course which I normally loath I struggled to tilt and get the last bit of syrup off the plate. Great value for money. Only disappointment was the fact I could not order the wine pairing which was detailed on the menu on the table as I was driving. The people on the table behind us had ordered and received a really good knowledgeable explanation of each drink as it was served. Will definitely be including this extra next time. Too busy eating to take photos, could have posted all the totally empty plates.
