点评：I love wetherspoons. I think it is a great business model and they do great food for the price. Good value for money. Along with my family and every group of friends I have from several walks of life, as always head for a 'spoons if we're on a city break or in a place where we're unfamiliar with other local places. Cheap and cheerful and something for everyone.
In the last few months I've been to 'spoons in Preston (both of the branches), Leeds, Bradford, Cleckheaton, Batley, Bath, Lithum and Blyth.
This is the ONLY wetherspoons that I will never visit again.
For one thing, it was minging, drab and scruffy. The loos were poky and dirty.
For another, they refused to let me swap from chips to a baked potato with my meal. I've done that in allllll of the 'spoons I mention above and no problem. Ever.
They tried telling me that no wetherspoons 'do swaps'. Blatant lie!
Such a simple thing and surely costs them less if anything but certainly not any more. Wasted most of my chips because I just can't stomach deep fried food. Luckily my Mum ate some of them because I don't like food waste at all. Didn't enjoy my meal because it just wasn't what I wanted, essentially paid for just a burger rather than a meal because of their refusal to swap the side.
Every other 'spoons has not had an issue with this small request.
They also tried telling me that prosecco isn't an option as the 'free' drink. Not really an issue but again never been an issue in any other wetherspoon.
They've lost my custom and the custom of my family and friends because if we go out together we like to go somewhere everyone is happy. Not that they'll care of course! It is just surprising as this is the first wetherspoons I've had this experience in,which is odd. I don't appreciate being lied to either.
