点评：We had been driving all day and had made reservations at 5:45 thinking maybe we would miss the usual "let's get as loud as we possibly can" at dinner time (what I call 3rd grade recess). We were seated, thankfully, against a wall but that didn't help much. Exhausted, though we had planned a decent meal, we just ordered chicken strips and calamari appetizers. Average. The poor waitress (who was excellent) initially startled us when she first came to the table as she had to yell, "Hello! Can I get you something to drink!" I have no idea how many people were in the rest of the restaurant (we were seated in a side area) but the 10-12 people in this area we were in sounded like 30 ...incredibly loud, children running around tables, screeching... the usual at restaurants today regardless of price (As a matter of fact, most fast food chains are quieter). When the waitress brought us our drinks I showed her my dB meter. "What does that say?" I asked. She replied, "86." "And what does it say under that?" "Food blender." That is how loud it was and I told her she could be hurting her hearing. It did quite down once the yellers left, 45 minutes later, but we were done now too. I have no idea how good the food may have been as the noise was intolerable. We didn't feel like searching so we stayed. But for many of us - and I've always hated spending money and yelling to talk in a restaurant - we walk out now. They may have awesomely awesome food but I don't care if I'm going to experience hearing loss just to eat fish and chips.
