点评：We have been going to Sidney for as long as it has been there. It is our favorite local restaurant. We made reservations for five the Thursday before last, and for four two days later on Saturday. I waited ten days to write this review to allow myself a little time to think it over.
As always, we requested tables in the smaller quieter room both nights since two of us us have difficulty hearing, even with hearing aids; and as always that request was confirmed. But we were shown to a table in the noisy main room that was about five feet across. With only two other tables in the room occupied we could not hear each other unless we chose to shout, which we did not.
We told our server that the reservation had been confirmed for the other room, but she said she could not move us. We asked her to check with the manager and co-owner (Chef Annis' wife, who has good people skills) but she was not there. The server went to the kitchen and returned saying despite the promise of the quiet room we would not be accommodated. We asked politely for her to advise Chef Annis that we would have to leave, but he was adamant - we would be accommodated despite the reservation. So we left and cancelled the reservation for four on Saturday as well. His intransigence cost him seven dinners which would have included cocktails, wine, appetizers and entrees. He also lost two regular customers for his $500 a couple wine dinners.
It will be a very, very long time, before any of us return to Sidney.
