Mirna's Cafe的点评
点评：We occasionally visited Mirna's Café when it was in Jenkintown. One night a few years ago, it was simply gone. I knew there was another Mirna's somewhere, but never pursued it.
Last night, while returning home, we pulled into an unfamiliar shopping center looking for a quick bite. Lo and Behold! There it was...Mirna's Cafe. We weren't overly hungry but of course once we saw it, we had to dine there anyway.
I am a bit of a snob when it comes to fine dining in shopping centers but once inside the spacious, elegant dining room, I quickly forgot where we were located.
The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating.
My friend was disappointed in his seafood bisque because it wasn't what he expected. He expected white rather than red. I tried it and loved it.
We both appreciated the complementary serving of bruschetta.
We didn't order as much as we usually do simply because we weren't that hungry. I loved my flavorful and colorful fettuccini and shrimp. In addition to the fettuccini and shrimp, it was prepared with mushrooms, spinach capers, tomatoes, garlic and spices. The portion was huge. I'll enjoy the rest of it tonight.
My friended swooned over his penne and vodka sauce. He had forgotten that this is what he loved so much in the Jenkintown location.
I found it lovely that one of the owners found the time to chat with a number of the diners including us.
Next time I'll bring more of an appetite and sample the appetizer and desert offerings as well.
