点评:Members from Tigard Breakfast Rotary Club and several high school students from Tigard High School took a tour together, led by Gail Mannex, Distribution Manager of Medical Teams International. This was an incredible experience. We learned so much of what is happening to other human beings in other parts of the world. The various rooms that are devoted to depicting how people live in the destruction of weather related issues and serious conflicts which affect their health was heart-breaking . If it wasn't for reading and seeing the news reports of the devastation people have suffered in these places, the photos might have been considered unbelievable! Ms. Mannex conducted our tour, answering questions along the way and providing us with an opportunity to go inside one of the huge Medical Team dental clinics on wheels. These super huge converted transportation rigs are driven to various sites to help people with dental problems for those who can not afford dental care. These are used locally over the Portland metro area and beyond, wherever the need is. All of us were very impressed with the equipment, processing, volunteers and corporate business and individual donations that make all of this happen. We walked away with a true appreciation of how fortunate we have been in our lives to live in America.
