点评:We (4 adults from CA, Austin and D.C.) saved the Stephanie Dining Room prix fixe chef experience for our last night on the Oregon Coast. We booked the 8pm seating for the possibility of a spectacular sunset, and expected a fantastic meal and wine. (And it was a perfect night for that, with clear skies.) Sadly and mysteriously, the entire dining room overlooks the parking lot, even though the property is literally ON the beach. (We were staying a few miles south, in gorgeous Arch Bay). Servers were friendly, competent and the food cranked out was... fine? Overdressed meh salad of greens, a tomato bisque, lamb or forgettable fish, an okay dessert. But the prix fixe is vastly overpriced and nothing special. We let our server know that we wanted to pause before the main course, to walk around the building to see the gorgeous sunset. OMG... THAT was unforgettable with the magnificent rock formations and fires up and down the beach. Upstairs, the staff was annoyed with the interruption if cooperative. The restaurant vibe is like a nice small banquet room, efficient and formulaic, but (I assume) profitable. Our tip? DO go to Stephanie Inn and have sunset drinks in the library, with dinner elsewhere.
