点评：Have eaten here once before and it was fair. Was in town and thought I would try it again.
Greeting was friendly and was asked to seat myself. Drink order was taken and delivered promptly and even though I had just opened my menu I was asked what I wanted to order. I said I wasn't ready yet since I had just opened my menu. I looked at the menu and made my selection. Immediately after I ordered I noticed a special on a chalkboard. I called my server over to see if I could change my order to the special. She said she couldn't because she had just entered it into the computer and the kitchen had started making it. Mind you it was less than a minute since I placed my order and the special was significantly more expensive than my order. It seemed my server couldn't be bothered with any hassle associated with changing my order. Oh well. I guess I am partially to blame for not asking if there were any specials.
I opened my silverware roll and found dried food on my knife blade. I asked my server for a clean knife. I was brought another silverware roll. When I opened it, I discovered my knife had dried food on the handle. I brought it to another server's attention and was brought a third silverware roll. Thankfully both the knife and fork were visibly clean on the third attempt.
I ordered a burrito which was good. A salsa refill was offered and accepted. Unfortunately, I had a hard time enjoying my burrito since the entire time I was eating I was wondering how safe the meal I was consuming actually was.
I was checked on several times by various friendly servers. I didn't see any other customers have silverware issues so maybe I was just unlucky ... twice.
I am always concerned about a restaurant's overall cleanliness and sanitation when they don't pay attention to the basics with customer-facing items. It really makes me wonder about what's happening in the kitchen and if the cooks (and servers) are following all applicable food safety and sanitation rules and regulations.
I will probably skip Los Tequilas Mexican Restaurant the next time I'm in the mood for Mexican food in Coweta.
