点评：I went to this pub as I have enjoyed many good meals in the Jolly Sportsman which is a sister pub and sends out adverts for The Sloop. First observation was how well the Pub has been updated, I used to go to this pub in the past and always enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised at how stylish and welcoming the renovations appeared. Having said that it was a warm evening and we sat at an outside table. It was fairly busy and the second observation was how understaffed the place was. A lovely young waitress attended to us, she was pleasant polite and friendly. However it was obvious she was under great pressure as she seemed to be doing everything. We placed an order for a bottle of wine and some food. She was so busy I eventually went to the bar and ordered the wine myself. There was one guy serving and again there seemed to be no one to help him. The food was tasty but I had the Crab Linguini which served on its own for £17.50 left me feeling hungry and it was poor value. My wife had the Monk Fish Risotto £25.00 and although tasty again for the money was poor value. Overall impression was that I do not think I would return very quickly. A great shame as. There is so much potential.
