点评:The location, treatments and general staff are lovely. Such a shame the management let them down.
When I booked a spa day, the confirmation email I received listed totally different treatments to those I chose via the website. When I enquired the staff said the treatments I had booked didn't exist. When I enquired further the spa manager blamed the error on new staff. Obviously the poor new staff hadn't been given adequate training.
My first choice date had to be rescheduled due to pool maintenance. When I received the email confirmation of the rebooking, it contained the wrong treatments again so I had to enquire again.
When I arrived on the day, a woman dressed formerly, who looked like a manager, was at the desk, talking casually to someone on her mobile. She just looked at me and walked off. No polite greeting or offer to help. Luckily a nice young guy who was dressed in sports attire arrived and greeted me. He said my treatment was booked for 2pm. The email confirmation had said 3pm. Had I known it would be 2pm I would have arrived earlier to spend more time in the pool.
When I arrived at the restaurant for the afternoon tea, which was included in the package, a young waitress just bought me a cup of tea. I waited but no food arrived. When I asked the young girl where it was she didn't know anything about the package. Luckily the chef explained to her what an afternoon tea meant (ie sandwiches, pastries etc) and quickly prepared it. The poor girl obviously hadn't been given any training.
The spa itself was okay. The pool and steam room are lovely but the changing rooms are very poorly kept. One toilet out of order, another with no lock so just one adequate toilet.
Two showers but only one had shower gel in.
The bench where you could lay your clothes whilst changing was very flimsy.
I had to try four lockers before I found one that worked.
Overall, it was a pleasant day but disappointing in parts due to the poor management.
