No good for allergies and poor attitude from barman

点评：Disappointing on a few levels. However, friends who had no allergies did state their food was tasty.
However, no gluten free menu and the barman was not convincing or knowledgeable. He almost seemed annoyed I was inconveniencing him asking questions. As a coeliac knowing gluten free options and risk of cross-contamination is important. Did get handed an allergies folder, but it was from Spring/Summer 2024 and quite a lot of the menu didn’t align. I had no faith that I would get safe gluten free food.
The barman was also incredibly rude. Friends had asked for pie and chips instead of mash. The second one to ask was told no - meals could not have any changes. When the first person questioned that she had requested this and not been told it would be a problem, the barman told us in no certain terms she had no asked for chips and they don’t swap items. He implied she was lying. Really rude and obnoxious.
We usually meet monthly here for drinks and this occasion was for food too, but we’ll go elsewhere for both in the future.
