点评：We visit this tearoom a lot and usually love it as the decor is lovely and the food is great but there were quite a few new staff today and it was very disorganised. We queued for 10 minutes as we were told by the young lady at the till that all the tables were full so we could wait if we wanted (thanks!) as there were no tables available but we definitely got the impression she’d expected us to walk back out and go somewhere else! One minute later there was an empty table for 4 right next to us and one of the other servers said there had been an empty table upstairs all the time we’d been waiting but the girl at the till didn’t even ask, check or invite us to sit down - WE had to ask if we could sit at the empty table. One of us got our food pretty quickly but I had to wait an hour for mine so my friend had finished eating long before mine arrived. They said they’d had to go out and buy more bacon as it had run out. We did keep asking when the food would arrive but were made to feel like we were being awkward customers for asking. The tables are all numbered and you get allocated a table upon arrival but the staff are coming upstairs and yelling out the food orders as if they don’t know who ordered what. It isn’t normally like this and we’re very normally very easygoing but, if this had been our first visit, we wouldn’t come back. The new staff need better training on how to make customers feel welcome.
