点评：Something has changed with this takeaway this year, and unfortunately not for the better.
The last time I ordered from Tuktuk was April 2024, when they were on Just eat. I had ordered fairly regularly at least once a month at that time, with this being my favourite Indian takeaway. The food portions were generous, and the food was delicious. They even did this fantastic naan bread called ‘Family Naan’ which was slightly cheaper than ordering 2 individual naans that my partner and I could share.
Roll on December 2024, where we decided to treat ourselves again to this food - a tight budget this year unfortunately made it hard to order takeout since April. I could no longer find them on Just Eat, but found their own website instead. Website is easy to use, no issues there.
The food took a long time to be delivered, almost 2 hours. Much longer than it used to which used to be within 30-45minutes.
Straight away I noticed the food portion is reduced. They used to send it in a large round plastic tub, with plenty of the sauce. Now it’s been reduced to a smaller rectangular plastic tub.
I was then left extremely disappointed by the taste. My favourite dish - chicken tikka masala with coconut rice - is not what it used to be. It tasted bland, and cheap. The coconut rice recipe also seems to have changed, with strips of coconut now left in, and the rice not having that same ‘sweet’ taste it had before.
Ultimately, it left me very disappointed. Something has changed at this restaurant, either management, the chef, or maybe a change in policy. It is no longer my favourite Indian takeaway, and I won’t be ordering from here again, I’m sorry to say.
