点评：First time visiting this pub, and some of what was disappointed in the place. First impressions matter, and the place looks tired even though it isn't that old. The artificial grass is off-putting, probably used to save time cutting real grass but can become hot in summer and holds all kinds of tasty things, also not very good for animals pets or wildlife. On entry to what was at the time, mostly empty pub, told only one table available as we had a dog and even though other Marstons pubs they are calling themselves dog friendly there is only a small area that you can sit with a dog, even if the carpet area is empty and no making them any money. And no lunch meals available. Also, it's fine for children to drop drinks and everything on the carpet but a dog to sit on it ...no. but that's another story. As they were two elderly people in the party, they expect them to sit on high chairs and table which having mobility issues is not ideal, but again who ever though that only action young people have dogs as all the tables were the high ones. The staff wasn't really helpful it's a case if you don't like it go elsewhere. After deciding that we needed something to eat, we had to lump it. We did move tables as a better placed one became available, but on still high chairs. The meal itself was okay, but again, the first impression of this place is the o e thing you remember. I wouldn't go there again as the staff and appearance. Was more memorable than the food, the pub industry wants customers but won't put themselves out to fill empty seats. which is a shame as other Marstons pubs in nearby sherborne are more enjoyable and the staff friendly.
