点评：my partner and i came here on a day trip to frome. i ordered the bacon sarnie with tomato sauce and brown sauce (note i haven’t said ketchup - it was, but certainly not the stuff you’d expect from a supermarket) while my partner ordered the shakshuka. i topped off my meal with a brownie while he opted for the cinnamon bun.
the bacon sarnie was delectable, served with tasty sourdough and the tomato sauce complimenting the flavour well without tasting acidic like i’ve found supermarket brands to be. my partner devoured his shakshuka in minutes, claiming it was better than he’d expected it to be.
with regards to dessert, while the cinnamon bun was certainly delicious, my brownie topped our expectations completely. the balance of rich chocolate with salt was spectacular and made the brownie both indulgent and sweet enough - without being too sickly. i wish it had lasted long enough to share a photo of! but it was gone in a minute.
beautiful building, lovely staff, wonderful atmosphere. make this a must-see on your visit to frome!
