Manor House Hotel Restaurant的点评
点评：Could not fault the food. Location perfect - staff lovely.
However we stayed in room 10 which had beautiful views but -
Buzzing noise which started around midnight was intolerable and sleep was therefore impossible.
My husband resorted to standing in different areas of the floor throughout the night to try and get it to stop, as pressure on the floor seemed to dull the noise momentarily.
The bathroom towel rail was on continuously throughout the night which in winter would of been fine, a hot day/night in July it was unbearable.
We hadn’t been shown how to open the windows fully so their was no ventilation within the room. We resorted to prop the door to landing open with a waste bin to try and get some air flow, this isn’t an ideal resolve to have as we were in a shared building with strangers.
My husband got dressed at 3am to try to speak with a member of staff and there was no one in the building and all doors were locked.
As the stay was booked for an anniversary treat and wasn’t cheap at £280 for overnight stay/breakfast. We felt totally wiped out through lack of sleep and dejected by the lack of staff available to assist with our dilemma.
We spoke to the housekeeper who did say the issue of the buzzing noise had been mentioned by a former guest of room 10 at the hotel.
Overall lovely place very disappointing stay.
