Food at The Lindisfarne Inn的点评
点评：Finally the staff were absolutely lovely. Super friendly and helpful.
The food however…
It was expensive, even for a hotel (£20 for fish and chips, £8 for a very small kids meal). Two burgers, fish and chips and two kids meals were ordered and they arrived very quickly - less than10 mins (too quickly for any proper preparation). Everything was correct including our minor changes.
Fish and chips was fine, fresh fish, decent portion. Burgers were also ok, basic but ok. The kids meals were rubbish! “Chicken goujons” was two tiny battered chicken fingers, and handful of chips and two pieces of broccoli (?). My daughter has pasta with “fresh tomato sauce” that I am certain was just tomato puree. Both were tiny portions (my kids are not chubby overeaters by any stretch), suited to under 5s.
We were staying nearby so it was a no brainier choice but in hindsight I wish we’d jumped in the car and driven further afield.
This place has loads of potential but we suspect it’s geared to those staying onsite who are a captured audience.
