Silverstone F1, let down by logistics.

点评：We had tickets in the Village Enclosure, which has improved over time and is now a good experience, and was so much better than last year when we were in the IP Enclosure, which was awful. Only the lack of decent vegetarian options, and poor food options in general, in the Enclosure let it down but you could get stuff in the main area so no real drama.
Silverstone always falls down with logisitics and this year was no different. Turweston as a P&R venue is absolutely terrible and always has been. While there were some attempts to improve routing of buses, Turweston really isn't suitable for the volume of cars sent down a single dirt track. It took 90 minutes from getting in our car to reach the road and others had it worse. This is exacerbated because there is no organisation and so people attempt 'shortcuts', etc because they are obviously special and don't need to wait their turn. There seems so many small things that could be done to improve the situation, it seems negligent that nothing has been done. The Silverstone F1 is a good experience if you can stay nearby (camp) and walk daily, or I guess can helicopter in (although not from the Turweston airfield). Don't use the P&R unless you have the patience of a saint.
Our bus driver managed to get lost between SIlverstone and Turweston on the Saturday, we had a lovely tour of local villages for an extra 30+ minutes.
