Heckington Station Railway & Heritage Museum的点评
点评：A few years ago I was travelling on the A17 and passing Heckington I saw a sign for a railway museum. I looked it up on Trip Advisor and added it to my list of places to visit. Unfortunately I was having trouble finding out when the museum was open but fortunately JeffsR posted a review and then all became clear on when they are open.
I decided to pay a visit on the final Saturday of July which coincided with the Heckington Show.
The museum is in the station buildings. There are some parking spaces in the station car park and I managed to find a spot.
It's free for children to come into the museum and only £2 for adults so it is very good value. There are a few model railway layouts of different gauges to enjoy including a replica of the station and the nearby windmill.
There's lots of railway memorabilia and to view from the national network and the local area and you can also buy some souvenirs as well. If you are a railway fan and you are in the area on the right Saturday then this is a good place to visit.
