The Old Cock Inn的点评
点评：I’ve staying 4 nights, over two visits. The rooms are comfortable, but the recent stay in very hot weather there were no fans available (although they found one from the kitchen on my last night) so very hot and airless. A lovely inviting bath, but no bath mats or hand supports to be had (bought my own, and left it there as a parting gift). Parking is a constant concern and advice varies considerably depending on which member of staff happens to be in charge. For me breakfast has been a nightmare one way or another. I needed to get out for work so just wanted something quick - no joy as on the first occasion the manager was not there to unlock or start the coffee machine, so left with nothing. Only to find my car was blocked in! On my second visit I wa informed there was no chef so I could eat next door. This turned out to be wonderful and for the two days I had breakfast there a real treat. There was a chef on my final day so I went to the restaurant. Ordered two boiled eggs, some later these arrived out of their shells and piles onto toast - not what requested. I think there must staffing issues as the room was not serviced on one day and the vagaries of breakfast totally frustrating! If overnight service is to be offered, some standardisation would be welcome. Having said all that, some members of staff were to be commended, and the location worked well.
