点评：I went to the castle with my partner we did not go but saw in as you can enter the grounds and view the inside from a distance before you get to the pay booth. At around £10.50 a pop for adult admission to see some castle ruins with nothing else the English Heritage needs to seriously reconsider their prices. I could may be understand it a bit more if the funding was going to restoration or rebuilding but there was nothing to say that it was, the price makes it inaccessible to most and you can buy a lot more for the entertainment value somewhere else. Furthermore, what is disappointing there always seems to be lack of imagination in bringing castles or castle ruins alive, why not have actors or student actors bringing the castle to life, telling stories about the castle, or showing how life would have been like. If you like a picturesque ruin fine but otherwise it would be very boring to most people. Additionally, the car parking nearby is £3 all day so it's not even like they have free parking near or on site.
