点评：We had friends to stay and wanted to go somewhere new so had a look and found the Flying Fish online. Menu looked interesting so we booked and my wife rang to check that the booking was agreed. Nowhere online or during her phone call was she told that most of the menu was unavailable. On arrival we got our drinks and the specials menu plus a printed one that had more than 50% of the items crossed out as unavailable. We ordered anyway only to then be told that two of the supposedly available dishes were also off the menu! We found enough that we wanted so ploughed on. Starters of halloumi and whitebait were good but small. Our first two main courses arrived cold on cold plates - the stilton mushrooms were congealed and needed re-heating, the others arrived later and lacked any real effort, eg no vegetables in or with the fish pie and thick dry sliced white bread. The building could be lovely but looks run down and the atmosphere is depressing. The prices are not that cheap so it is fair to expect something better.
We did not want to embarrass our friends so paid up and left but when we rang back later to voice our thoughts the manager was dismissive, gave no meaningful apology and said that if we didn't want to come back that was our choice..... Sadly we won't be back!

翻译：我们邀请朋友来住，想去个新地方，于是浏览了一下，在网上找到了 Flying Fish 餐厅。菜单看起来挺有意思的，于是我们预订了，我妻子打电话确认预订是否成功。但她在网上和打电话时都没有被告知菜单上的大部分菜品已经售罄。到达后，我们拿到了饮料和特色菜单，还有一份打印的菜单，上面有超过 50% 的菜品被划掉，表示没有菜品。我们还是点了菜，结果却被告知两道据说有的菜也没有了！我们发现想吃的菜品已经足够了，所以继续点下去。哈罗米奶酪和银鱼开胃菜不错，但是份量很少。我们的前两道主菜是冷的，放在冷盘子里——斯蒂尔顿蘑菇冻住了，需要重新加热，其他的菜上得晚一些，而且做得不够好，比如鱼肉馅饼和又厚又干的白面包片里都没有蔬菜。餐厅的建筑本来可以很漂亮，但看起来有些破败，气氛也很压抑。价格也不便宜，所以期待更好的菜品也是理所当然的。
我们不想让朋友难堪，所以付了钱就离开了，但是当我们稍后再打电话表达我们的想法时，经理却不屑一顾，没有给出任何有意义的道歉，并说如果我们不想再来，那是我们的选择.....遗憾的是我们不会再回来了！
