Decent stay in Kalimpong but room for improvement in service

点评：We stayed at Summit Barsana in Kalimpong for 2 nights. The room was decent with lovely views of the surrounding hills, but do note there’s no escalator, which might be a bit inconvenient for some guests.
The staff were warm and very baby-friendly—they even offered complimentary food for our baby, which we really appreciated. One of the highlights of our stay was celebrating our daughter’s birthday at the hotel. The team was kind enough to help decorate an area for the cake cutting, which was thoughtful.
However, we were quite surprised to be charged ₹3000 for a very simple decoration. It felt quite steep, especially since most hotels usually offer such gestures complimentary or at a much more reasonable cost. That part left us a bit disappointed and took away from an otherwise nice experience.
Overall, a decent stay in a beautiful location, but the overcharge for the birthday setup was a letdown.
