Buckeye Express Diner的点评
点评：I really wanted to love this place...
First - the people there are great! Service was lovely! The food though... Hot dogs, burgers and fries. The fries that were cooked all the way were great - not so much for the raw ones... The hot dog and burger were both average from any diner - not very interesting in flavor though, and both of our burgers were NOT cooked through unfortunately.
But let's talk about the atmosphere...
Lined with Ohio State nemerobillia, kinda wished there was more "train/railroad" stuff, but... It is the BUCKEYE diner IN a railroad car...
Had to listen to FOX News on the TV the entire time we dined (why not have some great "train" videos playing on a loop - or even Ohio State highlight sports stuff... SMH...). Had to fight with FOUR different flies the entire time... It's a bit hot, musty and somewhat dirty in the place - not sure why they don't just invest in some cheap curtains/blinds to block our the South facing sun. Finally, they could probably do with a week or two closing to CLEAN the dingy space, perhaps a new coat of paint on everything, and fix at least ONE of the FIVE different tables that we tried that were too wobbly to eat on.
Sigh... I love classic Mom & Pop places, and I want this one to be amazing as well, but right now - I wouldn't go back...
