L'Enclume的点评
点评：Went on the weekend Cartmel Races was on which caused some issues. We stayed in Elderberry which was a suite in L’enclume house and needs a clamber up an outside fire escape to get to it. Issue no 2 - you know what level room you are getting but not where and they are scattered over the village. The room was lovely - spacious, beautifully decorated. Beware though the beautiful shower allows water to spread across the bathroom floor. Staff were lovely and helpful. There is no parking on site so we ended up downloading then parking at the school since the races was out of bounds. The room is over rogan and co which meant noise till midnight and starting up again for breakfast. Breakfast was ok but I get annoyed by restaurants who give you no menu and tell you what you get. So it was a cinnamon bun, a small but tasty cooked breakfast and not much more.
We ate at L’Enclume but that meant we stayed in one place, parked in another, ate breakfast in another place and our evening meal in place 4.
It’s expensive and I really can’t see the point of paying so much since am positive you can get something cheaper in Cartmel.
