点评：I’m a little late posting this review since it’s been a number of months since I was at the establishment, but better late than never. We joined a number of friends for dinner one evening. Our group was a good size and our organizer had gave the restaurant plenty of notice when the reservations were made. For some reason, they hardly had any staff working. Three people including the bartender to serve the whole restaurant. It’s not a huge place, but our group took up over a third of the place. Getting the first drink was fairly painless, but a 2nd to have with our meal was a challenge they never met because I never did get the drink I requested. The server was overwhelmed. This was my third time at this establishment over the period of approx 8 years. Previous visits were okay, but I never left thinking “that was the best”. They do have a good jambalaya, which is what I’ve had most times I’ve visited. This time, I must say, I was disappointed. I understand the struggle for restaurants, but the portion was a joke compared to the price and it lacked substance, like actual protein ingredients. Definitely not as good as it was years ago. Our server was not the most friendly person, but I blame the owner/manager for that. It was not her fault that they were short staffed and though she shouldn’t take it out on customers, it’s hard not to be discouraged when you have to take care of so many tables on your own. It’s a small community and for the most part the restaurant seems to get decent ratings, but I did read reviews with similar sentiment on staffing shortages. Other restaurants are opening in the community, so they better correct these problems if they want to remain a viable option for customers.
