点评:We were visiting family in town and found this a convenient and affordable place to stay. We didn’t use the pool but if you had kids with you, I’m sure they would love it. The breakfast with okay, pretty typical hotel fare and free, so hard to find fault with that. The room itself was fine, had a microwave and a fridge, which were nice to have. Our biggest hiccup was that we rolled in, hot and tired, at 5:30pm, ready to shower and change. Even though check-in was 3pm, the woman at the front desk told us that “we don’t have any rooms with keys available.” 🤔 After asking her to clarify that, she said that they only had one cleaning person and so the manager was helping clean rooms. I asked her when our room might be ready, she said that they were cleaning the rooms on the left side first… “and that’s not your side.” 🤔 So, once we established that they had been woefully understaffed for three days and she didn’t know when the room would be ready, I asked her if we could perhaps get a discount on the room, since it was not ready at check-in and we hadn’t been notified that there would be a problem. She said she’d have to ask the manager and added, “everyone else has been much more understanding than you.” We then offered to take a different room (don’t need a king, don’t need a sofa, etc.) She said she’d check. While we waited on the sofas in the entryway, she clicked on her keyboard but gave no updates. After about 20 minutes, she said the room was ready. We never talked to a manager, got a discount or even heard one “I’m sorry,” but we got a room and that’s really what we wanted. I’ve just never been made to feel bad for wanting to check into the room that I paid for, 3 hours after check-in.
