点评:We made a quick trip to Wilmington to visit a friend and made a reservation at Floriana where we have had previous great dining experiences. This time did not disappoint.
We were early for our reservation, because of the rain, so we sat at the bar and had a glass of wine. Jon was the bartender and he was very engaging. He made us feel right at home. We were then seated upstairs and our server was Danielle who was wonderful despite being very busy.
We know that the portions at Floriana can be quite large so we decided to split 3 items between the 2 of us. We started with the Gnocchi with sundried-tomato pecan pesto, cream which was very good. We then followed that with the Caesar Salad which may have been the best that my wife and I have ever had. We finished with the Sunday Gravy with pork belly, short rib, sausage, pomodoro sauce, paccheri, and ricotta. The Sunday Gravy was outstanding.
Those 3 dishes were just the right amount of food to split for the 2 of us. No leftovers which was good since we were staying in a nice boutique hotel not far away.
This was our 3rd wonderful experience at Floriana. We will definitely be visiting again the next time we are in Wilmington.
