Bistro D'Antonio的点评
点评：We were looking forward to a nice evening and got the complete opposite. Things went sour as soon as we walked in. The hostess was very flustered.
There was a couple sitting at the bar waiting for the table, they had already finished their drinks. The gentleman asked why they were not sitting at any of the four open tables. She explained that they were assigned to a different table and it was still not ready. After we checked in, she said that our table would be ready in 10-15 minutes. Again, there were still open tables. A few moments later, she sat the couple behind us. When I questioned why, her response was that their table was ready and ours wasn’t. What? Did she preassign tables? I have never seen such a thing. I felt guilty because we were seated before the couple at the bar.
At the table, we were met with a server who basically threw our filled water glasses at us.
Our waitress, Hannah was friendly and when I explained what we just witnessed, she apologized.
Our food arrived, I order veal piccata. It was swimming in oily sauce. My husband ordered chicken Antonio’s way, this was supposed to be baked layers of chicken, cheese, sauce, eggplant. When it arrived, it was obviously just put together not cooked together. It was a piece of chicken with a piece of eggplant parm on top.
The restaurant was over crowded with the waitstaff rushing through and in between tables. My head was bumped three times.
Food was eh. We ate quickly, did not order dessert.
