点评：Before this visit, I had only been to a Cookout location once, and that experience wasn’t great. However, this visit completely changed my perspective on Cookout for the better. I was hungry, and since there aren’t many dining options in the city, my friend suggested we give it a try. At first, I was hesitant because of my previous bad experience at a different location, but I decided to keep an open mind and go for it.
I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich (cheddar style), chicken nuggets, and a walking taco as a side, paired with a lemonade. The lemonade was forgettable—I honestly can’t recall what it tasted like—but the food was much better than I expected.
If I were rating Cookout solely on my past visit to a different location, I would’ve never gone back. But this particular location made a full 360° turnaround for me. The food was good enough that I’ll definitely consider ordering from Cookout again.
The chicken sandwich was moist, packed with a decent amount of toppings, and overall delicious. My only minor complaint was that the freshness caused the bun to get a little soggy, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. The chicken nuggets were fresh, hot, and flavorful—though I wish the portion size had been a bit larger for my liking. As for the walking taco, it was tasty but could’ve been even better with a few more toppings. It primarily consisted of jalapeños, meat, cheese, and chips; a little more variety would’ve elevated it.
We went through the drive-thru, which was fairly packed, but despite the long line, we received our food pretty quickly. While waiting, I peeked inside the restaurant, and it looked clean and well-maintained. The staff working the drive-thru were polite, professional, and friendly, which added to the positive experience.
If you’ve tried Cookout before and weren’t impressed, I’d recommend giving this location a shot. It’s a solid spot in the area, with good food and service. While there’s still some room for improvement, I can confidently see myself returning or recommending it to others.
