Southern Pines Golf Club的点评
点评：4.5 stars. The course is a great layout and it was in very good condition. They are doing a lot of work to the course: new cart paths, etc. The golf shop staff member was very helpful and the turn shack experience could not have been better. We played at a discount because they had punched the greens a week prior but they were in decent shape after a week and we knew ahead of time about that situation. Very few houses in play (4th and 5th only) and the holes are nicely spread out from one another. I think the course is as good as Mid Pines and the only rough spot was to the right of the 10th but had no other issues with course conditions.
Things to be aware of. If you are looking for an elegant experience like at the Pinehurst courses, Southern Pines is currently not your stop. Not fancy. Small clubhouse with bar/food. Absolutely fine.
Plenty of staff/rangers although the course was not crowded and we played in about 3:45.
Would I go back? Yes. Golf is not cheap these days and I really liked it at the discounted rate. At the published rate I might research other options, but I am not up to speed on the areas golf rates.
