点评：We were tired of the touristy restaurants with people outside trying to cajole you in. Rustique is off the main streets and as we walked past there was just one man sat outside who smiled at us but didn’t try and convince us to come in. We thought we would give it a try and we were not disappointed. It turns out that he and his wife run the restaurant and have a mix of Spanish and Ukrainian dishes to reflect their nationalities.
We had avocado starters each - the bruschetta for me and with prawns for my partner. Both were simple, fresh and tasty.
The fish platter and the Mahi mahi were our choices for mains. Served with salad and rice, with a delicious garlic tartare sauce - a light and tasty meal, exactly what we needed.
We forgot to take photos of the desserts as they looked so good we couldn’t wait to tuck in! I had the napoleon - a French pastry and cream dish that was light and delicious. Sirnicki was my partner’s choice - an Eastern European dish of fried cheese with a fruit coulis and creme fraiche - we shared and both were amazing.
The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, the food was well cooked, fresh, and delicious, and the cost was reasonable. I’d definitely recommend and next time I’ll try the dumplings as they looked amazing!
