A Delightful Group Tour at Millstone Creek Orchards

点评：We were part of a group that toured Millstone Creek Orchards during blueberry and blackberry season. As our group gathered on the wide, comfortable and shaded porch of The Apple Barn, one of the owners - Barbara - warmly greeted us. She told us the story of the orchard and farm. Candy, our tour guide, then met us, gave us an overview of the farm, and then walked us to the hayride on a flatbed trailer. We rode past peach and apple orchards where we could see those developing fruits. Candy gladly answered all the questions from the group. First we picked blueberries from a large section of bushes. We were encouraged to go from bush to bush, sampling as we picked. After picking blueberries, we moved over to the blackberry section. We were given the opportunity to pick a small plastic container of berries - I think it was a pint. We rode the hayride back to a covered section with tables and sampled some of their products. We sampled some of their canned old fashioned peaches , lemon blueberry bread, wine cake, low sugar/ no sugar raspberry preserves, and their Apple Cider slushy. Everything was good. Our favorite was the apple cider slushy. It was very refreshing on a hot and sunny day. The Apple Barn has a wide variety of foods, produce, refreshments, decor and mementos available for purchase.
